I'm thinking about making an offer on this ski. The owner is asking 1400.00. If everything checks out whats it worth?

I've got a big ole 96GTI, I love the ski, but its like a family sedan, the XP is more like a sports car.

The ski is a little rough cosmetically, but the mechanics look good. The upper hood needs refinishing, the rest of the ski just needs and good cleaning and buffing. No major gashes.

I want to check out the engine, jet pump, wear ring, engine compression, and ride it this weekend.

Thanks for the input.

If it's in good mechanical condition.... $1400 is a good price. The faded yellow hood is normal, and you can paint it.

BUT... since the add says OBO... I would go with cash, and offer $1200. (you never know) Some times people just want to dump things... but sometimes they say OBO, and are really firm on the price.

I personally want an 800 XP... and If that was local to me... I would have already bought it.

Hummmmmm.... Ky.......

Nope... it's a 6 hr drive. It would cost too much in fuel to go get it.

I was going to check it out and ride it this weekend, if it's that good maybe I should not wait. If my wife says "you're not interested" I'll let you know.

That means go get it and work on it for a week while she ignores you!! LOL. If you can get it for $1200 it would be a pretty good deal.

yes i was running a gts for two years, it was my first seadoo. the diffrence was like compairing a mini van to a lambo. it take a couple hours to get used to, and get ready to fall off a couple times. but when you learn that the farther you are to the back of the seat the more control you have, you'll be doing spin outs, really sharp turns, and tail stands like a pro lol. here is a pic for my frist tail stand on mine, and the funny thing is, it was a complete fluke!
