I purchased a couple of 2011 seadoo GTI 130's recently. Both need minor work. They were previously rentals used in the Pacific Ocean. 1 seadoo has never been able to
Go fast. I believe the wear ring is shot. Check out the pictures. When I removed the jet pump, there was a bunch of sand with pebbles.
Let me know your educated opinion. Thanks.

Thanks For the quick replies fellas.
Wish I had my feeler guages on me to see how bad it is. Maybe I'll pick them up tomorrow from my shop tomorrow. My shop is 45 minutes away.

That impeller looks a little beat up a new wear ring will help but you will not get the best performance with a new ring and that impeller.

I'd be putting in a new impeller and ring if that were mine.

Same here, impeller has serious dents on it. You may end up having cavitation or some vibrations if you change only the wear ring.

Benji.

And that ny friends is why in the last 30 years I have never beached any of my pwc and I never will. Well, I did have to beach once while far from the boat ramp and got caught by a thunderstorm with high winds. But soon as I got the skis back in the water I took lots of time to lift and drop the rear of the skis in 3 feet of water before starting to try and clear the pump of debris. Normally I anchor in 3 feet of water just off shore.

I meant to post these pictures up. I think all the sand/rocks may of been a cause to the wear ring abuse.

Fortunately the 4-tec seawater cooling loop is stoopid simple but make sure nothing's clogged, including any drains and pisser tale-tales. Probably the rental company was doing this Sometimes the rubber exhaust hose pieces can delaminate internally and cause excess exhaust back pressure (overheating is a big cause of delamination), power can be down "inexplicably" when this happens, great hole shot but once making power she falls on her face.

Something to be aware of....
