My aunt was cleaning out her garage since they are moving and she found or maybe finally remembered that she had a 1995 SeaDoo SP.. She told her son, my cousin, he could have it.. He said he doesnt want it and just wants to sell it.. I knw the unit has like 200hrs on it.. But the thing is they havnt used it since at least 2000 which means its been sitting for 10years.. I dont think they even winterized it when they put it away the last year it was used.. I know they took care of it back when they were running it but like I said once it went away that final time all bets are off.. I can probably steal it off my cousin for like 300 being that book is only like 650-710 on it... Just wondering what things to check for before even considering.. Looking looking for a headache or a money pit which I have a feeling that something that sat this long is sure to be but thought maybe I could get lucky.. Just wanted to see what would need to be done to even try and start this thing as I know people always say that you need to do certain things before starting something that sat that long or you can damage.. Thanks

Drain gas and oil. Refill with new. Spray some lubricating oil in spark plug holes (like wd-40). Change spark plugs, fuel filter and oil filter. New battery. Start her up

is there anything with carbs or anything like that?? Also do I si there anything special with the gas or is it just 87? Also where is the best place to find filters and plugs and whatnot for these?

If you want to pull the carbs apart, and clean them... that will be a plus.

Also... since it's a 95... lube the driveshaft seal (under the gray cover behind the engine) and I would pull the nozzle off the jet pump, and check the oil in the pump unit.

Fuel... I'd put mid grade or premium in it, and mix that tank of fuel 50:1. Even though, it has oil injection... a little extra oil is good since it's been sitting.
