Yeah i know.... but I got a great deal on it and its for the Wife (BIG COUCH!)...

I have my XP... I thought there may also be some Yama-Jamma owners learking.

Friends dont let friends drive yamaha!

i have a friend that rides a 2000 yamaha gp800 and he uses TWC-3 in just about any brand there all basically made to the same specs by the American Petrolum Instute. I own a seadoo xp with the 787 and i use fully synthetic i know i should use seadoo oil but i cant find it any were so i cleaned all oil oil out and use Quicksilver becuase what you wanna do is look on the back of the container and see if the craft manufacture say it good for them.

Oils.....

Pops, the Quicksilver brand of synthetic oil designed for Seadoo and other PWC/Boats that require an oil that is non-NMMA and non TCW-3 oil (low ash) meets the requirements by Bombardier. In the shop manual, it asks you to use the XP-S oil but if not available, to use an equavilent. So, I too use the Quicksilver. I don't live near a Seadoo Store.......

Johnson.....your oil requirements are to use the Yamalube 2W oil. But, like BRP, you can use an equivalent. For you, the oil must be a TCW-3 oil. That is the only basic requirement for your ski.

My opinion and I think the opinion of many others; choose the oil your going to use and stick with it either until the ski dies or you sale it. Changing oil makers regularly will cause eventual harm, since the motor will be relying on the additives of the oil you use. If you change that oil and it lacks that additive, the engine might not like you for it..........and that woudn't be pretty!

i am very glad to hear that you also use quicksilver; that is what i will be running in my challenger; my little pro had a modded XP that we ran nuthing but XP-S in but that stuff is expensive, I ran the seadoo oil in my father's Challenger 1800 with the twin 787 but in my challenger (14.5ft) with the twin 717cc i plan on using the quicksilver

Xp-s....

The stuff is just to expensive!.....But, I will say this. Once you start, never change out. I don't care if the XP-S drops in price....stay with the Quicksilver. I use the full synthetic, not the blended. But, if you've already gone with the blended, don't change it.........

That shocks and surprises me that you, Carl as a moderator would slam another manfacturer of watercraft. I myself, come from a long list of kawasaki's and yamaha's. So me comeing over to the Dark Side of water toys, could actually feel the same way. But, ya know what. I have taken a strong interest in my Hx! In the process of rebuilding the carbs, because seadoo used crap for fuel lines. I'm also replacing the lines. No big deal!!! I wanted to see what else there was out there to ride. I never had a problem with unamitables! Have a nice day,Carl!

I have deleted two posts from members over this thread because of KustomKarl's obvious funny remark about the Yamaha. It was taken out of context by the members and used to intentionally take a mean spirited jab at another member.

This is not common in our forum and for the 99% of members we have that enjoy the forum and Karls funny wise cracks, this statement is not applicable to you.

I will now close this thread. Any complaints please address them to me or the administrators by PM........
