What is this part?

I was looking online at this westcoast tuned pipe and on the top of the picture there is a small canister/valve? Any idea what its used for? I cant even find west coast website .

Picture is too small to see what it is. West coast had a water regulator that was mechanical... it could be that.

As far as finding a website for them... isn't goin' to happen. They closed their doors in the mid 90's. They made some great stuff... but they were a little overpriced.

Back in the day... I had a West Coast JS440 practice ski. It was one of the fastest stand-up skis I ever rode. (until the 750 and 800's came out)

Kinda what I thought about the water regulater thing. So its like a flow control valve? these things really that simple and work?

You don't want a restrictor on a recreational ski. you will wind up, overheating your exhaust, and melting/burning the rubber couplers.
