What do I need to know about replacing my stator?

I bought a new stator for my '99 GTX RFI. What are the proper steps to preplace a stator? Do I need to prop up the front of the motor? Do I need to remove the exhaust? Anything else I need to know?

Any insight before I begin would be appreciated.

The RFI is throwing me off. That has the pipe that wraps the opposite way on a 787, plus it has the cooling bed under the engine. Just be ultra careful if you prop up the engine. Maybe you could suspend it (the engine) from the ceiling?
