I think I hurt my boat. I finally put in the water last weekend and it worked great all weekend. Put it in the water today and it still worked great until........we put it up to the beach for a break and when we were leaving the beach and I sucked up some rocks. I could hear them grinding in the impeller. I shut the boat off quick and tried to get all the rocks out of the impeller. When I tried to restart it the impeller was froze. Wouldn't even turn it over. Pulled it out of the water. Not sure if this was the right thing to do or not but I had a pipe wrench and used it to turn the shaft from the inside of the engine compartment. It wasn't real hard to turn it and I heard the grinding of the rocks then it seemed to free up ok. Put the boat back in the water and we loaded up for a ride. On the water RPMs would go to 7000-8000 but we were only going 10 mph. What have I done and how can I fix it?

You will have to replace the wear ring and have the impeller repaired.

I sucked up rocks also

Seadoo doesn't go anywhere. Vibration and when I tried to flush the seadoo plastic white pieces kept spitting out. Was this the wear ring? Will replacing the wear ring fix the problem. It doesn't look like there is any other damage. Just a chewed up ring from the inside looking out.

OK Still trying to fix the boat. I am trying to remove the impeller and I am having some problems. I can't seem to move the Support Ring on the drive shaft inside the boat. It will not move at all. I guess I am to slide it forware and remove an O ring but it will not move. What's the prob?

You have to slide the ring rearward but you can leave it in. No need to remove the driveshaft to remove the pump.
