What can you tell me about this

Hoping to get some opinions on this machine. Just mildly considering making an offer on it, it comes with the trailer and cosmetically looks to be in good shape from the picture anyways. I know it’s a 951 carved and it says it’s blown, whatever that means. What can I look for if I go to look at it or just relinquish to the fact that it will need everything, new crank, bore, pistons rings and possibly a carb rebuild.

Looks clean but yes, plan on a total rebuild with everything including a new crankcase and cylinder. When a 951 "blows" it takes everything with it.
I would not pay more than $500 US for a seadoo that doesn't run.

Never been a RX so I can't comment on how the compare to other models, @etemplet ?

Pretty much what Miki said. $500 and you'll have to do the complete engine. Make sure you can loosen a couple of head bolts before you buy it. You're gonna have to go from one end to the other and check everything to make it reliable. See if the engine turns over, or the computer recognizes the key and turns everything on. You don't want electrical and engine issues.

I'm assuming it is a carb model.

Yes it is a carb model, 500.00 USD is roughly 700.00 CDN, add the trailer for another 400.00 CDN. If it’s still there when I’m done this roof job I’m doing I may go have a look. I may or may not, I don’t need it of course but I would like to own a 951 someday, and if the body is in as good of shape as it looks in the pictures it may be a good candidate. We will see, I just like talking about them lol. Thanks Mikidymac and Etemplete
