What battery 1996 GTX

I have a 1996 GTX and the battery is bad and i was wondering what type of battery i need and where i can get it for the cheapest price...it had a GS16L-BS in it and it lasted a year before crapping out. Im not sure if that was the right battery for it b/c i keep hearing different things from the auto parts stores like GS16LB, ES16L-BS (at walmart), GS19L-BS. I just want to get the right one that wont hurt my jetski.

But is that the right number to use, i didnt find any conversion chart that says what it needs to be, i was just guessing based on some similarities in the numbers

O"Reilly's auto parts and pick up a sealed gel battery for about $60.
Take the old one with you and they will match it up.
Best money you will spend. I have 3 and each one is on it's third season.

Dam good prices there for the batteries, just spent 152. for 2 regular ol batts. 96 GTI and a 95 GTX...( simular skies) . MH

CL16-B...What is important is the Terminals are on the correct side and the size. Alot of the sealed batteries are shorter and the strap isnt tight.

yup, i use a 2x4 to take care of that.

Personally, I don't like having to jack with adding (and disposing) of the acid and the charging. The sealed battery is ready to go.
