I repaired my weedless system today, one of the seals for the grate's shaft had kinda expanded and shaft was very hard to move.
My problem now, it that it works fine, but my cables are stretched to the max. I don't want to change the cables because these ones moves perfectly, they are just stretched. Is there any ways to shorten or modify a cable so I could use them longer before they need replacement? And why did that seal explanded? (it's kind of a silicone mess more than a seal) I had to drill trough it a lot, then I attached the rod to my high speed drill and spinned it trough the seal with lubricant to "polish" the seal because it was still very hard to move the rod trough. I never used the weedless before, I hope it does make a good job at least because it's weed time here, and there's a LOT of it.
I also broken the blue protection over my impeller shaft. it's not totally broken but there's a good 5-6 inches from the impeller to the hull missing (sucked up a rope) I was wondering if I could still use the boat? engine revs correctly and everything looked fine when i watched trough the grate.
