wear ring

i just got my wear ring from sbt.does anyone know if the lip from the wear ring gose up or down

lip goes up. installs easier if you freeze the wear ring and immediately press it in. or if you have no press a block of wood and mallet works good just make sure you work it even until seated.

Yes my wear ring slides right in with no problam. I just wasent sure if the lip goes up or down

I put the lip out, since that is the way the previous one was installed.
Freezer trick is awesome, my pretty much fell into place with just a finger.
Now getting the old one out was a PITA. it was a hard plastic material with a second layer rubber covering. Is that the OE Piece?
