Wear ring change- 2 stroke/4 stroke

Going to attempt our first wear ring impeller change this weekend, I am trying to get all the proper tools together. I have read a couple of posts about doing this. But, I haven't seen if there was anything specific to take into account if it is a 4 stroke vs a 2 stroke.
Is there anything different I need to do, or is it pretty much the same?

The main difference is the impeller tool is different. When putting it back together the 4 stroke use a grease instead of oil in the cone.

I have the new impeller/wear ring. Since they new one is supposed to fit my ski, can I presume that the impeller tool that fits it, will also fit the one I am removing?

That should be a good assumption if you bought it to fit your ski.

Thanks, tried to find the impeller tool in town, but no luck. Going to order it online, so I guess I won't get to attempt this until then. Trying to read as many posts as possible to make sure I have everything I need before pulling the pump.
