How could it seize?I would. Not worth risking a seized engine.
And how can the dirt get on both sides ?I would. Not worth risking a seized engine.
can i just change out the 2 filters and not bother with the rest of the gaskets ?, they are only 1 yr oldIf the dirt got past the filter it could plug the little filters in the carb and cause the engine to run lean and seize. The only way the dirt could be on both sides is if the plastic filter element was not seated up into the housing.
My new water separator filter falls off its housing before i can screw in the capI know others have just cleaned the filters with success but I always replace the gaskets. It's your call.
Its not tight enough to hold it in place i think il change the whole thingThe screen element should fit tight up int the housing.
Thank you for the advice ur always helping me outThe entire unit is $20 from seadoo.
can i just keep the old water separator . put a new filter in it and install inline fuel filter ? something like thisThe entire unit is $20 from seadoo.
What if i get a high flow filter ?My opinion is absolutely not, I have seen a few people have fuel starvation issues adding another filter like you showed. There are some that use them, I think a Fram G4 but I personally don't recommend it.
