I recently discovered water spraying from my engine during flushing. Today I found the source. It appears to be coming from around a fuel injector. What would cause this and what is the best thing to do to fix it?

That's not good. There isn't an opening from the waterjacket, to the injector mount. SO... it sounds like it wasn't properly winterized, and the cyl wall has cracked from freezing.

I got a helpful message that made me rethink. It is most likely a hose that runs below the injectors behind the rubber shield. I need to move the shield and check again. I have been diligent about winterizing. I sure hope that is not the issue. Thanks for checking in on this. I am going to look tonight so I can line up the parts for a Friday repair if it is the hose.

Dr Honda was right.

I finally have resolution $1650 later. I guess I botched the winterization last year. Anyways the ski is now running great and the good thing from it is I found a jet ski mechanic I feel I can trust. Paul Moore is his name and if you live in or near Chesapeake VA, respond to this thread and I will send his contact info. He was a master technician at Island Watercraft before the owner closed shop for health reasons. I think he will be doing my winerizing this year.

$1650 !!!!!!!!!

If the engine was running ok before... it would have been a $200~$300 fix at my shop. I would have pulled the jug... welded it shut, and put it back together.

I did not mention that when the mechanic pulled the head the engine had been set so lean (I bought it 2 years ago and did not know) that the spark had nearly eroded a hole in the top of the pistons. I saw the old parts, so I am pretty sure he was not pulling my leg, but I am not a mechanic either. Where are you located? I would love a good, reasonably price mechanic who knows what he is doing.
