Long story on this, bought it last year in August for 800 and I tested compression 130f and 130r, go out for the first time and blow up my impeller shaft splines, but I thought it was the cylinder, rented a compression tester got 120 front nothing rear and decide to rebuild. It's weird now that I rebuilt the damn thing, I have second thoughts about whether the first compression tester was functional because it didn't work for the new cylinders. Got a second compression tester from autozone and got 150 in both after. Also got a rebuilt impeller housing bearings, new impeller and shaft. Now after the rebuild it only starts on land and not in the water. Got it to start a handful of times in the water but it doesn't stay on unless I pump the throttle. Carb cleaned a million times and rebuilt.left it for the winter and now in the spring, the last thing to try is new rv cover and rv. They were higher than .021 so def out of spec. Then as I spin the engine over by hand, this brown water comes out of the rear cylinder from the bottom left rv cover bolt and when I look inside the intake hole, the crank and rod is covered in milky looking stuff. I'm like wtf? Currently waiting for new rv cover and rv.
