Well people got my supercharger rebuild kit from pwc super fast service thumbs up! but thumbs down to my seadoo took the super off all pumped to fix and WHAT THE :willy_nilly: no washers. My shrot summer just got shorter, not sure what the hell to do now other then cry! Word of advise to all supercharger owners change the ceramic washers no matter what your dealer says or any other yahoo who says its not a problem. If only i would of heard of this forum 3 weeks earlyer this would of never happened. If your woundering its a 2007 GTX LTD 32 hours serviced by the book by the dealer and they still did the dirty deed.banghead::banghead:

Yup... that sux. The engine has to come out of the hull, and be torn down to make sure all the ceramic bits are cleaned out.

We recommend that the ceramic washers are replaced as early as 50 hr's to be safe... but they can break before that if you jump waves, or ride in choppy water.

It really is sickening how many times we read this over and over. Kinda negligent on BRP i think. Wonder if anyony has ever attempted a class action lawsuit.

you can try pulling the oil pump to see if any got caught in the screen. Somebody on here a couple weeks ago got lucky and found all thr chunks caught in the oilpump screens and filter.

Dr. Honda,

When you say you need to tear down the engine and look for the parts, how much of the engine do you have to tear down? I'm in the same situation and I have the bottom opened and I still have not found much of the washers. Main bearings look fine. Do I need to remove the cylinder head and pistons to verify that no washer parts made it up there? Is there a procedure to clean all oil pathways of washer parts or should I completely remove all parts and stick the block in the tank? Hate to remove head or pistons if I do not have too.

Thanks

No! dont take your head and pistons out you will most likely have to replace both oil pumps, your oil filter will have some of the debree in it you should find larger chunks of washer once you have the bottom and hoses off and oil pumps off, as for the top end you have to flush it because there is a chance shavings from the oil pump and washers got in. Warning this is a big job i am good at this stuff but still had a friend who is a small engines mechanic help with everything.
