I am a Canadian who is thinking about purchasing a late model year (2009) sea doo boat this summer. My only problem is that these boats are $4000 to $5000 cheaper in the united states than canada. I understand that BRP prohibits dealers in the US from selling to canadians. My uncle and aunt are temporary residents of florida... If they "buy" the boat, and then sell it to me, and I get any warranty work done by a US dealer, will I be ok warranty wise? I'd like to buy in my own country, but you'd have to be pretty thick to pay that amount of money just for patriotic reasons.
