Wake 155 Pylon supposed to lock?

Is the Wake 155 / 215 retractable ski pylon supposed to lock when it is up? I know that it clicks but it seems to me that it does not take much pressure to put it down and I wondered how safe that is for the person using it.

It just clicks into place, there's no extra lock. It works fine. Once ski rope is on, the force on the pylon is a shear force, not compression. Its never collapsed on me towing a 60" O'briens tube.

That's good to hear. We have a Hexanity tube we will pull with our new wake.
