Vts, trim.. 97 xp

Can anyone tell me how to repair my vts module, I have searched vts, trim ect. and did not see anything stating how the module works. The wire diagram does not show internal circuits for the vts module. I think it should have a relay or two and suspect a problem will be found if I can get to it. Does it have a thick solid gel (potted) on the board? Could it be a bad solder joint? My vts system checks out good until I get to the module, I did bypass module to check curent draw on motor and did not see any water inside motor cover. The vts was working without any faults a few weeks ago while tunning the new carburetors and repairing the slightly bent drive shaft. I want to keep my ski near oe and do not want to wire in some relays to work the grounds to the vts motor? any help with this or idea would be great! Thanks in advance. 97xpRick

I'm sure if you have that kind of ability you will see what the problem is once you get in there. I think its just water damage to circuits.
