I have a new 2021 GTI SE 170 and just used it for wakeboarding once. My impression is that you need and want to lower the trim when towing someone or a tube. It works very well, keeps the nose down on take off and is very comfortable to use it when towing. I am surprised how well VTS works when not towing and in chop with the nose up. I was a little skeptical of it, riding a non VTS 2007 GTI SE 155, which works quite well when towing and is decent in the chop. One thing I noticed, that you may as well, is I think the wake is flatter with this newer hull over my 2007. The kids like the bigger, deeper wake on the 2007. Maybe playing with the VTS would change the wake? I don’t know…
