VTS control box experiment

So I purchased a couple relays and one of the 5A auto reset breakers for a replacement control box. The relays did the trick and allow for up and down movement. My only realy issue with the electrical side is that the motor doesnt pull enough amps when under max load to trip the breaker. So my thoughts on using this setup like a window motor on a car didnt work out. Ohh well I think Ill just keep the breaker and run it as is once I fix my last issue.

My last issue is that it seems like the piston or whatever you want to call it which moves in and out is too long. I have shortened up the heim joint and even cut the connecting rod to make it shorter but its still just a little too long. Also when I run it all the way out it will keep going until it basically gets somewhat cocked and the threads are unable to catch and return back when running in reverse.

Its almost like I have the wrong parts but from what I have seen they are all the same.

Any thoughts
