I have a '92 587 with some engine mods and was wondering if it'll be safe if I switch to running Maxima Castor 927 since that's what I use in my dirt bikes. I've always been happy with that oil and it seems easier to just use it in my ski as well. I am currently running premix 40:1 with the oil pump blocked off

Perfect oil and ratio. It's a bit of overkill for a 587 but if the cost is not an issue then let the bean oil burn.

Sweet thanks. I keep reading mixed things saying I should only use "low ash" oil in these motors. Bean oil is some of the best stuff out there especially for high rpm and high temps so I think I will be fine
