Im looking at purchasing a 2012 seadoo gtr 215 for 8000$. It has 93 hours and the seller said he has had it recently serviced and the mechanic said the supercharger should be good another 100 hrs after inspecting it. However the consensus here seems to be 100hr or 2 years. Should I try to get him down 500$ since it probably needs a supercharger rebuild or is 8000$ already a decent price? Thanks

Pricing really varies depending on where you are located. But $8000 is probably the high end, but if this is a well cared for ski in great condition, then $8000 is likely what you should pay. I don’t know enough about the superchargers, so defer to others on the forum.

Is $8000 including a trailer or is that just for the ski. Supercharger will need to be done, don't take peoples word on what there mechanics said. Thats why he's selling it before the 100 hours. Will it last past 100hours yes but when failure happens the risk is not worth it. Great machine i have a 2014 and love it.

That’s past my mechanical abilities to correctly answer that but I believe you can check for slippage but that’s not something you can do by looking at it. If it was me buying this ski I would want the piece of mind and get the SC done, try to get a couple of hundred off for this reason. It cost more to repair if it fails then to rebuild it at 100 hours but that’s just my opinion.
