Today I took the ski to the lake for a water test. It ran fine on the hose so I felt pretty good about it. After launching, I took it easy and let the engine warm up before I pushed it too much. Well, it suddenly cut out and would not start. My dad proceeded to come get me with his pontoon. Just before he got to me, I got it started but it was running rough. I thought I would start with the basics and change the plugs, which I happen to have with me. I pulled it out and put in the new plugs, only to realize they are the incorrect ones, as I needed the ones with the tip that unscrews. So I went over to the local marina to pick some up, only to find there was not anyone there as they were all at the in water boat show... on to the next marina we went.

This time, we took the pontoon as it was too nice of a day to waste and I was able to get the plugs. I put them in and much to my relief, it seemed to be running normal again. I threw it back in the water for a proper water test and man, what a difference! I was able to get 64.4 mph on the gps with a full tank and my two kids. I was expecting every bit of 60 but was pleasantly surprised at my top speed, especially with the SBT impeller. It pulls very strong and will be fun to play on this summer.
