Nope, not even warm on the tags :)

Glad to hear it's not something set wrong and it is just oiled plugs.

Would oiled plugs, which I massively failed in gapping and had set at 35 thou not 21 (how I've done that is beyond me) cause backfiring and loss of power?

I was having heart palpitations thinking I could have stripped the rotary gear.

If that were the case, at this point I'd paddle myself out into the bay and be lit up with flaming arrows in a Viking funeral.

Kwik_uk , humor me here, what was the first thing you missed, and what is the second thing we're trying to guess?

I've never fouled a plug on a break in. I'll run one tank thru it @ 50:1 varying the rpm. Next tank is straight gas and beat it like a red headed step child.

Ok ok, I give in.

First mistake was that I'd put the head on backwards.

Second was that there is only one breather hose under the seat tray :)

It may not have been a plug that was fouled, it was actually a bad plug. Swapped them out today on the water for a couple of spares, and it ran perfectly. Woo!

I'm towards the end of my first tank now, I just ran out of daylight.

Hopefully putting the second tank through it tomorrow. I can't wait.
It feels and sounds SO different to before the rebuild. Very happy so far!

Good for you man... Nothing like riding these old 2 strokes without a single problem during an entire run!
