I am new to the Sea Doo (PWC) world so bear with me... When I hook up a hose to my GTX and run the engine in the driveway - it will pee out the back end but it will not pee out of the front. There appears to be a cooling system indicator in the front on the right AND left but neither will pee.

If the hoses that are in the front are not part of the cooling system... what are they for??

Thanks to anyone who can help me here. I am afraid to put this thing in the water without knowing that the cooling system is working!

Ya i think your looking at the check valves as well. Open the hood and find were those are at and follow the hoses, more than likely it goes to your fuel and oil system.

Appreciate the info. But there are some models that pee out the side right? I was just sure that it should pee out the side so that you could easily see that it was cooling properly. I guess I will have to turn my head around to the back from time to time to see that it is still spitting water?

Ya I think some do. I think like the 97 n up xps and I know some kawasakis do. Ya I just look back every now n then. I even touch the water sometimes to see if its to hot. But I don't see your cooling system just failing.

I've never seen one on the side, you could move it to the side, except its going to go in the footwell.

Your engine cooling system pees out the back, is called a Tell-tale, to let you know the system is cooling.
The two out the rub-rails, one is a lead/acid battery vent, the other is an "out" breath" spigot from the fuel bafel vent/breathing line. The
"in" breath line vent oriface is located next to the hood latch. You can take the front basket out to see these lines to your fuel Bafel on top of your gas tank. You should look next to the steering for your Water separator/filter and remove the lower fuel cup for examination of the
water or crud that circulates the fuel delivery.

Is it isn't pissn....your cooling system is esstoped somewhere. to Start an examination, water is pressureized in the jetpump as it is forced out a tappering nozzel. The Three holes there can get clogged, or at any hose fitting oriface, and tar can accumulate sand ect. and stop or slow the flow of cooling water. Search the parts microphishe at the top right of this page to see you ski's cooling system routeing componets.

The peeing out the side is probably the bilge pump exit. Only peeing out the side when you have water in the hull

my 01 xp also vents to the (left) side under the rail. It was not doing it at beginning of the season. Upon further inspection I found that dirt dobber's (paper wasp) had built a mud plug in the vent hole, I probed the hole and all is well now, free flowing and peeing as normal. I used a ziptie to probe the vent and clear the dirt.

On my 93 SP I have 2 hoses hooked up to the pee hole under the rear hook. One goes all the to the motor head. The other is capped off with a screw. Any idea where the second hose is supposed to be plugged into? Nothing looks jury rigged or out of place with all my hoses.
