You're in Mobile County? Other side of the Bay, I'm planning to move to Baldwin County by next Summer. Currently I'm a few hours away in Lee County, but if you don't get it resolved now I can probably help next season.

What's the issue you're having?

We purchased it in July from a guy who bought it to fix and sell .
He rebuilt the top end and it has a new Mikuni carburetor.
It was running fine but would start to bog on take off after an hour or two of riding which I figured out it was fouling plugs because he (Previous owner)had it oiling a little heavy for break in.
After he told me that I adjusted the Oiler (aligned the mark on the screw per a video I found)
Took it out and it ran great for a couple hrs and fouled the plugs again but will not start now.
I wouldn’t mind driving to get it fixed but closest I’ve found someone is 2hrs away and backed up till October.

Three things I would do, and you can do with guidance here on the forum. 1. Ck the compression on the cylinders, you can rent the gauge at auto parts stores. 2. I'd pull the carb off and ck it, verify pop off, verify the needle settings etc. I know it's new and all but you don't know what you don't know. 3. You said you aligned the oil pump to a screw? It should be two little marks that line up.

It would be a drive to get to get to me (about 240 miles from downtown Mobile) but I'd help you look everything over to get it right. I live in Smiths Station just South of Auburn/Opelika there's Lake Harding and Lake Oliver in my backyard where you can go test it out afterward.

Aligned the two marks up for the Oiler.
I bought a compression gauge and it read 125-130 on both cylinders which is low I believe it should be 150? but I have a good running GTS with a 587 that I checked because I’ve heard the cheaper gauges can be inaccurate anyway it was 125-130 both cylinders as well.
Not too confident in pulling the carbs myself
I’m off week after next so I just may take you up on that offer if my compression is ok.

That's a little low, closer to 150 is perfect, but if it's starting and running in the water it could be something else, we could pull the carbs or single carb off and have a look, ck the pop off, needle settings, etc.

Actually, I start a full week off from work on Monday the 14th, so let me know, it's quiet on the lakes here in the middle of the day. If anything we could meet up ck it out for an hour or so then go do some riding.

That run on I-65 is the worst, I hate it, but once you hit Montgomery it's close to the Phenix City exit on I85. My home is 18 miles South on directly off HWY 280, a few miles before you get into Phenix City.

Let me know, PM me if you'd like, we could exchange numbers and discuss details. Gordon
