throttle cable routing

Rebuilt 97 gtx 787. Does the oil pump cable tie down between pump and carb? Concerned about weight and fatigue.

If I was by my 97 I could tell you. I believe that shorter cable is left hanging free.

Can anyone confirm this? My ride is 700 miles away right now.

There’s a small plastic loop on the rear steel engine mount that the cable gets ziptied to.

I do each one according to the conditions. I don't often change/replace the oil lines but I will not induce unneeded stress. I don't often tie them tight but give everything room to move around. Always good to keep an eye on the internals during pre and post ride checks. Good Luck !!

Thanks guys. I see it now. There is a tie down on the hull too that I didn't recognize as a zip tie mount.
