Well as I have mentioned on a few other threads, I am going to be doing more to the boat. I can feel it in the air, spring for WY is getting closer!
I will be doing a whole new battery trey that will hold the electronics from the area, 3 batteries, the isolating relay, and the new Protech 4 onboard battery charger. I was not happy with how secure the batteries were on the previous install and I need another battery on the system for extended play. I am also considering, if I can find the right ones, adding a solar panel or two to the wakeboard tower to charge/maintain the batteries.
Then, well the Kicker KMT6's I had on the tower were not doing quite what I wanted. They lacked the throw for hearing the music at the end of the rope and were not to the level of sound I wanted either. After doing hours upon hours of research, I have found an excellent deal on a set of Liquid Acoustics LAXP-D8 speakers. These bad boys are on par with the Wetsound Pro-485's, or some say even better. That remains to be seen but I feel they are. With, per side, twin 8" mid drivers coupled with two HLCD horns (instead of just one on the Pro-485's) they are sure to crank some serious tunes at some serious ranges. I am very excited about these! I talked with the owner Marc today for quite some time. He is very knowledgeable and a sheer pleasure to talk to. Best part about these...MADE IN THE USA!! That's right boys, the good ol USA!

So stay tuned, it is going to be a few weeks before the boat is out of storage and then I will do a step by step install detail like I did before. I will also then give feedback on each thing in the boat as to the pro's and con's of each. :willy_nilly:
