I switched to a carrier bearing it allowed the drive shaft to move to far into the pump. While I was checking the timing I noticed  Half of the splines were sticking out of the pto.  Took off the pump to verify that the prop was right it was. Ended up going back to a carbon seal it was perfect inside the pto and pump.  Also found out my bildge pump is dead.  Since there is no bailers I decided to hold off until I get another bildge installed
