I just wanted to thank everyone who helped me on this site.
My 1996 GTI just wasn't running quite right. With the help of this forum I changed the wear ring, replaced the gas hoses, replaced the fuel valve, cleaned carb and main fuel filters, and changed the spark plugs.
I took the ski out yesterday, she ran great, no hesitation, quick starts, and was running at 52mph. Eventhough I didn't ask a lot of questions, I did read previous threads to accomplish this.
