Hey guys,

So I have a info gauge that i need to test and just want to know your guys thoughts on how and the best way. I just need to see if it turns on and if the number and what not light up. I am parting it out, so I cant plug it in and test it.............. Thanks guys :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Ok, I thought that might do it but didnt want to try it and fry something if thats not a smart way to do so..... Thanks for the help.... Im off to test .......

Does anyone know what wire the ground it? I see the purple and black are power/ ign but cant find the ground wire....... I guess I could just prob them all....lol

What year and model did it come from? You can trace it on the wiring diagram.

The ground was the black wire. I got 11ish volts on the purple and black wires. Nothing on the screen.
That means the info center is shot then huh?

No cant find the ground and the wiring specs are hard to read. It says the power is black and purple. I tried all the wires and even the purple and yellow and still nothing. I even tried the speedometer and cant get it to jump, so either both are bad or im not getting the ground wire. im off to try again. Its a 98' gsx.............

Well I tried again and nothing. So I pulled the plugs from my 98' gtx and plugged in the gauges and still got no power up on it, so I guess its bad. Strange thing is I cant get the speedo to jump at all when I put power to it. How often do the speedometers go out? Its in perfect condition but I cant see the insides of it.......... Uggghhhhhh
