I have run about 40 to 50 gals. of gas with pennzoil tcw3 blend not knowing it required api-tc. Bought seadoo use and am fairly sure previous owner used a BRP oil but do not know which.
Question, can i siphon the majority out of the oil tank reservior and add what you would reccomend?
Question, do i need to drain the lines, oil tank, rotary chamber, injection pump and bleed?
Question, what BRP oil would you reccomend?
BRP Mineral / Blend / Full Synthetic
Some have said to run mineral others say blend.
Gets confusing. Have had no problems with 717.
Changed fuel lines and filters.
How do you vacum tank and lines with shop vac.

Any info would be appreciated. The more detail the better. Thanks for your time and info.
Thanks again, Ronnie from north carolina

I personally would drain the tank and lines then refill with correct oil. As for using the shop vac its like niki "just do it" You could use a small piece of garden hose put it in tank then use shop vac hose on other end use your hand to help seal the vaccum were vac hose and garden hose meet.

I did the exact same thing not even knowing until I seen this post. I just poured a gallon of Marinpro TCW3 in a couple of weeks ago and have probably only ran 1 or 2 gallons of gas through. What will TCW3 oil do to a 717 engine? I will be removing the oil after work. Have I done any damage already?

It is my understanding that the tcw3 is not capable of properly lubricating the rotax enginge. especially when driven hard and above 6k rpm.
You might get away with it for awhile but why risk it.

Here's what I would do. Get as much of the oil out of the tanks as you can. If you run a synthetic blend you should be ok. The rule of thumb is you can go to synthetic blend or full synthetic from mineral but not from synthetic to mineral. You should't mix the oil either as it will cause problems too. I use seadoo oil, and if you can get your hands on it on a regular basis, go with that. If you don't get it all out it should be ok as it will be duliated with the correct oil. Get out as much as you can.

Went to Autozone and bought a little hand pump. Luckily it came with a couple 3 foot hoses because it is a little ways down and it was kind of tough gettting it down through the filler spout. Got as much pump out as I could, now I am waiting for my Seadoo oil to arrive.
