Take a look at my 97 Speedster

I bought this boat last September. I picked it up for about $3300.00. The boat was in good shape it just needed a little TLC. I had the seats redone, Hydro-Turf, replace some hinges and cleaned the hull up. The engines both checked out at about 140 on all cylinders. I cleaned the carbs and replace some clamps and misc parts. I still need to get the oxidation off some of the yellow paint. No sure how to do that yet. I may have the parts repainted. I painted the steering wheel cover the other day. It turned out nice. Just wanted to share some pics. I will take some better pictures when I'm done cleaning and polishing the boat up.

boats kick'n, man...with oxidation on yhe yellow compartment, think Scooper77515 used acetone/laquar thinner and cleaned it up, I used a new rattle can of yellow throw primer on it, then blast way with gloss yellow...

Looks great; that hydro-turf is awsome! I am planning on getting that same cut diamond grove in the light gray color for my challenger

I still have some work to do but it's coming. I had it in the water three times last year. The boat ran great. The Hydro-Turf really makes a difference in the looks.

Where did you purchase the HT from and what was the cost?

I have an 03 Sportster and it looks like that same kit would fit my boat as well. Thoughts on that?

You can look up the kit for your year and make of boat. The kit is $300.00. I think it makes the boat look a 100 times better. The stuff also feels real strong, self adhesive and easy to install. They have many different colors and a few different patterns.

Hydro turf....

Here, look at post 3 and 13. I ordered the hydro turf mat in a sheet and cut it myself. The boats have an outline of where the turf mats glue in place. I think for 30 bucks,......I did a jam up job! Oh, you can use "OOOps" to get the adhesive off. Its a petroleum product but it's great for glue, gum and all kinds of junk........http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?t=11010

I used Goo-Gone. Stuff works great. Acetone is good to but don't use it on painted surfaces, it will take the color with it.
