I just purchased a flip-down step that attaches to the back of the ski. The step I got is made by Koni. The brackets are attached to the back of the ski using 3 large stainless screws per bracket. Is this normal for one of these steps? I'm nervous about drilling into the fiberglass, but it just doesn't seem right to have it secured by screws. Seems like it should be bolts with a nut/washer on the inside to prevent it from pulling out. Thanks for any advice.
