My RXT ate a bunch of rocks, some still stuck in the impeller. Below are some picks. How bad is this and what needs replaced? I just pulled off the intake grate and the wear ring definitely looks and feels chewed up. Annoyed the ski only has 8 hours on it and now this. I know the wear ring will need replaced, I think I'm just going to put in an OEM one.

I think I'll probably replace the impeller too and keep this as a backup. The ski is stock, are there any benefits to going to an aftermarket impeller, or should I just get a factory one?

What other parts should I replace if any? It only has 8 hours, but should I get a new neoprene seal, cone o-rings, impeller boot, etc?

Doesn't look that bad. Need to pull the pump housing. Need a prop removal tool. Remove and dress up the impeller (file or grind) leading and trailing edges. Check the wear ring per manual. Reinstall with shop manual. It will be ok.

The forum will give you access to theirs for $10.95 a month. You might be able to find some, but you will have to google it.

I found a manual. I got everything torn apart, but need the tool to get the impeller off. Looks like I'm about to order a bunch of parts.

I'd send that impeller out to get professionally redone. It's in pretty rough shape in a few places. I've seen impellers in much better shape cause cavitation issues.

The impeller is really in good shape considering it literally ate some pretty good rocks..

Generally speaking, the Skat impeller will give you a bit of increase on both ends. Out of the hole performance as well as a bit on the top end. Most will give to one end but take from the other end. So, if you are not changing the engine at all, go with an OEM or a correct fit Skat. You present impeller is very saveable. Most would file it smooth and go with it. The only thing I would do if I was doing the job would be to see if the fins are bent. If not,, I feel it is fine.

Where can I find more info on what Skat impeller I would need that could benefit my stock RXT? The Skat-Trak website doesn't really have much info on their impellers. And on the Impros website there is nothing listed for a ski newer than 2008.
