I'm winterizing today, i have the guidelines...but it's unclear if i should be using automotive or rv/plumbing antifreeze? I suppose either would work, but what do others use??

I see someone posted a similar question last night, one answer was automotive, and one was rv...

Thanks,
ak

I use the RV type. If you read the bottle on most it even says for marine winterizing. I really dont think it matters. I just asked the mechanics at the Sea Doo dealership down the road. They said it is all they use.

I have pets and like the fact it isnt gonna kill them if they find some where I have been working. It is also cheaper at like 3 bucks a gallon.

Thanks, i ended up using rv antifreeze for the same reasons you indicated... cleaned up my rave valves too... that was easier than expected. I was thinking of changing out the original grey fuel lines this winter, but i suscribe to leaving things alone if they aint broke! it runs fine, and has 240 hours on it...

ps. also bought a poppy cover this past week, fits great, looks good... i`d probably reinfornce the handle bar area, but very pleased with the product.

You really need to swap those fuel lines before they cause you major problems. Prevention is the key my friend.
