String or rope sucked into impeller

2003 4 Tec. I think I may have something stuck in the impeller. I cannot see inside the intake while it is on the lift. If I trailer it will I be able to get underneath and see and clear any obstruction?

Generally speaking, once on the trailer you will be able to see up through the intake grate.

Last year my son sucked up a rope major damage

I have done that before, when I looked into grate i could see rope wound tightly around the driveshaft. The best way i found to remove it was long crowbar heated end until red and sliced through rope like knife through butter and pulled out with long pliers. If its something else stuck then best option is to remove pump.

Certainly inconvenient, but not a bad job...

It ended up being an insurance job I'm glad I had it . Was calling dealers asking about glass repair finally found a guy . The inserted part of hull right where the drive shaft goes to carbon ring was completely eroded from friction of rope They almost totalled the ski but the glass guy made a new insert from fiberglass tubing . Let me tell you sucking up ropes is very hard on jet skis . I hope you have a better outcome than I did

I sucked up a tow rope last weekend right after pulling off the trailer, luckily felt the vibrations of something being in the impeller and swam it back to the trailer, pulled er out and cut the rope out. No damage luckily...hopefully you got lucky.
