Hello,

I am going to purchase a RXT X 300 within the next couple of weeks and I'm a little nervous leaving my things in the glovebox/storage box unattended. Does anyone know of a way to lock these compartments?

Thanks,
Andy

Sorry...I don't leave anything in my ski worth losing...ever.

But I'm paranoid that way.

I'm with red2blue I don't leave things in there I care about. I don't think there is a great way to lock them without serious modding

oh i'm sure you could rig some kind of u-bolt/clasp with a small master lock, but any redneck with a rock or a small hammer could get in with a 5 second delay. I've seen 500 ski's on the water over the past decade, not a single one had a glove box lock.

when I go out on the water my box has $20, my ID, a $40 gps, and otherwise, all worthless crap.

don't worry about it. glovebox theft isn't common.

I know. Not the answers you were lookin for, ibs000.

If you really gotta have one, I'd think a simple cam lock would do just fine. Less than $20 and prolly take 30min to install.

Of course....a lock is only gonna keep out honest people. If someone wants in bad enough.... A simple lock won't slow them down for long.

Another thing to think about....

If they see a lock it may peak their interest as to what's in there!
No lock and thought process may be... Just some worthless junk, move on.
