start question

start and lanyard sw test o.k. all grounds are good, all connections are tight. I get nothing when I press the start button. I jump the solenoid and the starter cranks. Any ideas what is wrong?

Do you have any beeps when lanyard is put on dess post?

no beeps, I also tested the off sw. and it is o.k.

The 94 will not have DESS. No beeps when you attach the lanyard is normal for that ski.

Check the connector on the solenoid, do you get voltage to it? If so the solenoid is probably bad

If I jump the solenoid it pulls in and the engine cranks, but nothing when I press the start button.

Do you have a wiring diagram ?? I am chasing a gremlin on my 96 GTX but it has DESS. When you say you jumped the solenoid, did you apply voltage to the small wire or did you jump across the two large wires?

yes I do have a wiring diagram. I jumped the small wires which are the coil wires.

sounds good. My 96 has the DESS key. I got some weird stuff going on. Good Luck !!
