So, what is goin on with my friends boat? Same boat as mine. 2004 Speedster 200.
Boat started fine hours earlier. Then he hooked to truck to tow on trailer. When he stopped for fuel in the truck, he saw smoke from under cooler (behind steering wheel) and found the VCM wires melted. Now it won't start.
Why would it not blow a fuse? Fuses are correct values in the fuse blocks.
The melted wires are ALL of the ones in the longer rectangular connector with lots of wires going into it.
Any ideas?
