Speedster stereo installation

I have installed a 2nd battery. I need to get some pics on here for you and a few other people asking. I will try to get them in the next few days. It actually was very easy. Perko makes the switch that goes right in the factory hole. The 2nd battery goes on the left side under the oil tank.

The Perko 8501 switch is the direct replacement. I can give you links to pretty much everything you need. I spent like 200 bucks for all the parts including a battery. Here is the switch.

Appreciate the info. Little leery about stereo install considering just dropped 1500 on a new mpem.
Can I get the perko link?
Thanx for the input!
Have you done any performance mods?

Performance nods arent really worth the cost. You dont add much and it cost a lot to do. You can change impellers and get my take off thrust, but lose top MPH. I like the way my boat is performance wise.

My mods include:

Audio System
2nd Battery and switch
interior LED's
Voltmeter on dash
Hydroturf
Polished out and buffed the whole boat and added new decals.

I just spent a ton rebuilding the trailer. So I am done for now. Only other thing I want to do really is get a Poppy cover and maybe add a bimini top.

The pic you have of the factory wiring, is that where it is located?, between the oh shit handles?..mine is prewired and assuming thats where to do a cutout.

yeah where you see the original holes on my first post, is where the factory wires are run. The plug for the radio is under the cooler, in the hole to the side.

I have a 97 speedster, and i want to add a perko switch so i dont have to take the storage cover out and disconnet the battery. I have one large battery, can i still use the same switch?
