i have a 94 speedster that i put new reverse cables in and reverse bucket and support on it. Just curious when i put it in forward both gates lock in the up position. If i go to the back of the boat and pull and wiggle on them they come unlocked. Im afraid when i put it in the water if they were to come unlocked they would break off while moving at a fast speed. Should i be able to shake on them while the shifter is in the forward position and unlock them or are they in need of more adjusting? I have adjusted on them quite a bit to try and stop this from happening. When they come unlocked they are literally pulling the shifter back out of the forward position a little bit. What to do?
