All right so port side engine fires up fine. Starb side not so much. I get a click coming from what seems like the solenoid when when pressing the starter switch but not indications from the starter. Tried jumping the solenoid, no sparks what so ever. Took a shot in the dark and replaced the solenoid and no luck. So far, I've checked the plug into the solenoid and it's showing ~12v. Any tips on what to look for/ check at this point before turning it over to a shop? Oh and when I checked the fuses, the starb charging system fuse was popped. Thanks!

Check the ground cable on the engine (connects on just under the exhaust and starter motor)
One easy way is to clip on a jumper lead from the - terminal on the battery to a bare metal part on the engine and hit the starter

If that works check all of the connections and condition of the cable itself, it can be connected but be all corroded out in the copper

Take the plugs, and rear cover off... and make sure the engine/drive will turn by hand.

BUT... since you said... "No sparks" when you jumped the solenoid... either the starter is totally fried... or a power cable has gone bad. I'm betting the brushes in the starter are gone.

I'm with the Dr on this one.

Having a single battery you know the battery is good.

If you REALY want to confirm things, swap starters from the good engine.

Is that a pain? You bet.

Like Doc said, if you can turn the engine over by hand, it must be cables, connections or the starter.

All right so I swapped the starters and confirmed it was a bad starter. Took the starter apart and found the connection to the ground magnet on the brush holder separated. Any knowledge on that? Worth ordering a new brush holder opposed to a new starter?

Rebuild yours. OEM starters are MUCH better than most aftermarket starters, even if they are used..

Order a rebuild kit, replace the brushes for sure...
