I'm thinking about adding Speed Ties to our GTXis ........ is anyone out there using them? Likes ? dislikes?

Is the 8 ft of line enough for most docking situations?

thanks,

Strake

Yep.... I'm thinking about the ones for the Ski, not the dock.

Just curious to see if anyone out there is currently using them, and if they like them or not. They are kind of pricey and I would hate to waste the $$ if the consensis is that they are not functional or that 8 ft isn't enough line, or whatever. I was more concerned about the placement of the aft location... looks like you would have to get off the ski to reach it.

Come On folks.......

you mean to tell me NO ONE out there is using Speed Ties? Surely someone must have them.

They are kind of pricey, but it's a really clean design, if they work in a practical world.

Anyone???

thanks,

Richard

SeaDoo Speed Tie

I guess if you are speeding $10,000+ for a new ski these would be O.K., they cost approx. $200.00. They look too flimsey for a permanent tie up. I would personally save the $200.00.

The dock ties, about $120 for the pair look like a complete waste of money. Buy a good mooring rope (about $15.00) instead.

I bought a used U tow hook, from the rear of a parted out ski, paid $6.00, and mounted it topside on the bow of the ski using a couple of stainless fender washers. I don't have a picture, my ski is in winter storage in my sisters garage.
