Hey guys I know that the NGK BR8ES is the standard spark plug for the 720 engine, but has anyone used the NGK BR8EIX iridium plug? Is it work the extra cost?
Stick with the standard plug, it is the correct heat range and will save you some money too. It's kinda like using Premium fuel when it only needs regular 87 octane. The extra octane is not used and wasted.

I started using the iridium plugs for my 787's. I only used them a few times out so far (engine blew) so i can't really say that i noticed much of a difference

My other engine blew this summer too (before i started using the iridium plugs)... so no
i think the boat just didn't see much water in its lifetime, so the engines had some deterioration in them from not being used
several people mentioned that buying a boat that is used regularly is better than buying one that was garaged for most of its life... i found that out the hard way
