Spark on Battery Connect

Hey, got a 1999 GTX RFI. When I connect the battery I'm getting a spark. Is this normal for an RFI? If this isn't normal... where should I begin looking ?

Pretty normal. It’s also why you shouldn’t leave the battery connected for months.

Cool.... I bought a battery disconnect for this ski just don't want to drill a hole in the cool sticker. LOL Thanks Miki !!

these aren't the type that you lick to see if they still have power left in them?
I always get 9v and 12v confused.
