Brock I love your honesty and enthusiasm. It takes a tough SOB to dig in and haul that load home like that. Most men would have balled up and pissed on themselves!

well given that he was in the water swimming, i'd bet that only he would know if he pissed on himself!

That really sucks you lost your key! I've lost mine once or twice back in the day but always found it floating near by. I ride alone a lot on the local lakes but you can always see from one side to the other so I dont feel that bad about it :)

i'm waiting for the "at least I got taken care of".

Brock that is some funny chit again but seriously glad your okay.

Well ive been stuck once about a mile from the dock. However couldn't you hold your finger on the area the key goes in and at least ride it that way? Yes ? No? Yes I know there are three of you but it beats beatting your self up and getting her inn at midnight. Now if you cant, did I miss something?

The 96 and up have programmed DESS
Your 95 doesn't. So no, he can't hold kill switch down.

We ride from Racine Wis to Grand Haven Mi all the time. It's 74 miles one way across Lake Michigan. The XP's 657,717 some times will take the extra fuel we bring but the new GTI SE 155 makes it will ease. We've also done the Racine to Door County run twice this year but thats a 210 mile run with multiple stops at the marina's for fuel which takes on avg 8hrs with all the playing along the way. Planning next years run from Racine Wis to Oscoda Mi with a few days around Drummond Island.

So, Why didn't you pull out your phone and call for help? I'm sure the guard would've come for you. At that point worrying about a ticket with other people lives in your hands is the last thing I would worry about.

Glad you're Ok. Great that you told you're story and others will hopefully learn from it.

Not preaching but a suggestion is to carry a full charged handheld VHF radio. When I teach a safe boating class (required to operate a PWC in NY state) I tell people not to rely on a cell phone because as Brocks says his didn't have service.

Is there Coast Guard in the area? If there is you can contact them or other boaters in the area using a VHF radio, channel 16.

well we made fun of ole Warren down in Texas last year when he said he was going to mount a trolling motor on the back of his ski in case he ever broke down. Sounds like trolling motor is the way to go. :D

Glad you is ok Brock.

Kudos, Jake

yes you missed something. :( the DESS security

one of his passengers's wasn't R2D2

but yes, if one of them was R2, then R2 could have made the dess work... AND he's waterproof.

otherwise, unless on of the women were cyborgs, they can't override the dess post. Now,,, if this had been a yamaha, then yes,,, they could have made this work.
