some sand in side engine after sandblasting

After blocked all holes and pipe around the engine and took it for sand blasting after pick up i found some sands has been gone through the engine ,so i took top and bottom engine cover off and going to wash it off by diesel with spay gun to remove off any sand is there,do you guys think does it work? thanks

Nope. If you want the engine to live... you need to take it apart, and make sure its all out. A few grains of blasting abrasives can nick a bearing, take the lip off of a seal, or destroy a piston ring. All of witch will cause a engine failure.
 
thanks Tony,i dont think i can do that due to short of tools and experience ,ill take it to a friend's workshop,he is a marine mechanic.
