Solas 17/22

Looking at grabbing one
of these Solas blades for my 96 GSX. Any real advantage? Getting about 51mph on the ski now with GPS reading and would like a few miles more.

See what others say but it’s my understanding that BRP was very good at mating the best prop to the machine for overall best performance. They were also very good at getting the most performance from their engines stock, which is why when I had my Wet Jet with Yamaha 701 my brother in law was faster with his 657x

I’m also have some ocean pro pods from my 1997 tigershark Daytona that I’d like to put on but without knowing how to properly jet it on this ski I’d rather not run it lean and undo all the work I just did lol. I have a wear ring on order as the one in there is still good but I figured since I’m there already why not try a different impeller

You really won't gain anything with the Solas. It is just like the gearing on a bike, you might gain a small amount on top but at the cost of bottom end or vise versa. Just install the new wear ring and enjoy your ski.
Your stock air filter will flow more air than your engine can use so no performance gain there either.
